What are the greatest challenges confronting our church in the coming years?
Reaching the lost for Christ.
• How do we remain relevant in this technological, band playing, contemporary desire for worship?
• The demographics of our city and county are changing, many neighborhoods are elderly and it seems fewer young couples are moving into Thomson, how does the church grow and have a future?
• The elderly are raising their grandchildren; therefore, we have been seeking out these children by canvasing the neighborhoods inviting them to VBS.
• The words “reformed” and “evangelical” aren’t terms well understood and visitors need to be educated as to their meanings.
- There are questions and frustrations with the Presbyterian form government.
Education in what Presbyterians believe and understanding the church government requires instruction.
